Blingity Bling!

I went to Macy's the other day looking for a birthday present my little sister and instead found Eliot Danori! Have you seen this jewelry? It is GORGEOUS and super sparkly!! I highly recommend seeing them in person! Wow!

I don't think I'm going to be wearing a necklace with my dress. I want nice sparkly earrings and a blingin' bracelet. I think I might go with these two!

Little Black Dress for my bridesmaids

Here is some LBD bridesmaid inspiration.

Look! She's even wearing red shoes!

The dress we chose is by Eden Bridals #7266. It's got POCKETS!!!! I love that feature. The only pic online that I found is in hot pink, but we will be getting them in black.

Chucks No Tux

The Men: Part 2

Converse

The groomsmen will be wearing red converse, hopefully with their initials and wedding date on the back (see pic below). On the Converse website you can customize any pair. It's pretty cool, definitely check it out.

There is a little history behind this. Greg's dad and his uncles wore red converse at one of the uncle's weddings. Greg liked the idea and wanted to carry on the tradition. I thought it was a great idea! So the groomsmen, ushers, etc will be wearing red high-top converse and the bridesmaids will be wearing red peeptoe pumps. I think it'll look really cute!

Groomsmen Attire

The Men: Part 1

While I want Greg and the other boys to look very handsome on our big day.....I don't want the same "rented tux" look. Through my months of searching I found a look that I really like.....Vests

See more inspiration below:

Once Wed

Our colors are black and white so this picture below is the closest to what I am looking for. I think it will be simple and yet classy. I like the sleeve rolled up look also. Greg really wants to wear a jacket so he will probably get a suit with a vest. I think they are all going to look GREAT!

*I found these pics a long time ago so I'm not sure where I got them. Let me know if they belong to you so I can give you credit*

Bought my shoes!

I bought my shoes! They are from DSW a shoe store here in Denver. I can't find a picture of them anywhere online, so I took a few myself. They are by Nina (Style: Fulvia). I think they may be an older style since Nina doesn't show them on the website. From my own research on Zappos, etc, Nina shoes run between $60->$100. I found these for under $50! Yea! Aren't they cute?

A Funny.....

A funny wedding joke I found on weddingbee.com

Jennifer's wedding day was fast approaching. Nothing could dampen her excitement - not even her parent's nasty divorce.

Her mother had found the PERFECT dress to wear, and would be the best-dressed mother-of-the-bride ever !

A week later, Jennifer was horrified to learn that her father's new, young wife had bought the exact same dress as her mother !

Jennifer asked her father's new young wife to exchange it, but she refused. ''Absolutely not! I look like a million bucks in this dress, and I'm wearing it,'' she replied.

Jennifer told her mother who graciously said, ''Never mind sweetheart. I'll get another dress. After all, it's your special day.''

A few days later, they went shopping, and did find another gorgeous dress for her mother.

When they stopped for lunch, Jennifer asked her mother, ''Aren't you going to return the other dress? You really don't have another occasion where you could wear it."

Her mother just smiled and replied, ''Of course I do, dear.....I'm wearing it to the rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding.''

Cake Toppers!

I have loved looking through Etsy to see all of the talented artists and their wonderful cake toppers. I am pretty sure I've chosen the one I want, but here a few cute ones that I wanted to share.

I love this one! Anyone who knows me, knows that I LOVE day of the dead stuff! And they are salt and pepper shakers! Greg says no to this as it is a little "freaky" in his opinion. BUT, you never know for bridal shower or rehearsal dinner....They come in all colors! Check it out!

And the one I think I'm going with is fully customizable to look like you and what you will be wearing on your big day!

How Sweet It Is!

Some of my cake inspiration! Greg really likes #2, and I am partial to #7, but I also like cascading theme I seem to keep picking out.

The Rings

Oh the rings!

Lucky for Greg, I was all about helping him pick out exactly what I wanted for my engagement rings. I had asked my mom and sister what they thought I wanted and they both said Princess cut! I said I liked Princess cut when I was seven years old! While Princess cut is pretty, it wasn't what I wanted, and I didn't want him to be misinformed.

SO.....I took matters into my own hands. Shamelessly, I actually made a word document with the exact words that described the ring: Solitaire, round, thin band, etc. I think he was a little relieved that I was pretty much handed him the information. (I emailed it to him...twice......but he asked me to :) We never went ring shopping together, so I'm excited to do that for our wedding bands. Here is my wedding ring inspiration below.

Which Shooose do I Choose?

I LOVE the idea of wearing colored shoes. I mean really......how cool is that picture?! My girls will be wearing short black dresses similar to this picture, actually. And the boys will be also be wearing colorful shoes, but we will save that for a later post. Right now I am having a hard time picking the RED shoes that my girls and myself will wear. Here are a few of the contenders.

Critia Nina Shoes

Electra Nina Shoes

And the shoes that I have been swooning and loving since the day I first saw them online are...........

These little beauties by Pura Lopez

Aren't they just perfect? I love them, but unfortunately amazon and endless are all out of my size and thank goodness for that because they aren't cheap!! But I just love them and am hoping to find something similar....until then I am keeping my eyes peeled for my girls and their shoes.

and the ringbearer is.............GUS

Gus is our 4 year old Lab mix......and we can't imagine not including him somehow! So he will be participating as our ringbearer. Although I highly doubt I will trust him with the actual rings....... because I can just see him with our beautiful rings tied around his neck running into THIS:

That is the pond that is near the ceremony site! I could just see him galloping after a bird or something with our Rings dangling from around his neck......I'm thinking about dressing him up with a cute collar and leash like these from Etsy seller K9closet

I also like the flower pillow from Martha Stewart, maybe I can tie a flower like this to a more plain collar.....or maybe that's too much for a boy-dog. :)

I love www.stylemepretty.com

Look at this beautiful inspiration from StyleMePretty
I just LOVE the black feathers with the white flowers.....it's kind of edgy and beautiful at the same time. The rest of their inspiration on the black and gold wedding is just fabulous!

Wedding Inspiration-Black and White

Our wedding colors will be black and white. That much has been decided. Here is an inspiration board I found somewhere online. The trouble I am running into is.....the details........while I have found many things that I like......I am having some difficulty making decisions. I think there are so many fun things that you could do......
